Our location in Kazimierz: always vibrant with life.

Kazimierz is the former Jewish district of Krakow. After displacement of its residents during the Second World War, it was seriously neglected, but it has been flourishing anew in recent years to become the cultural and artistic heart of the city. Today it is a home to a thousand cafés, restaurants and clubs, a place of unique development and atmosphere, vibrant with life till late night.

The labyrinth of small streets of Kazimierz is rich with many interesting historical buildings. Many eminent Poles are buried in the Vault of the Meritorious (Krypta Zasłużonych) in the Church on the Rock (Kościół na Skałce) of the Order of Saint Paul. The climate of the Jewish Kazimierz is obviously created by the synagogues: the Old Synagogue, the Tempel Synagogue, the Kupa Synagogue, and the Remah synagogue along with one of the oldest Jewish cemeteries in Europe. Enthusiasts of old graveyards will certainly be interested in the new Jewish cemetery which was established in 1800. The Wolnica Square (Plac Wolnica) and the Ethnographic Museum, located in the former town hall building, as well as the historical Corpus Christi Basilica (Kościół Bożego Ciała), funded by Casimir the Great, are also the places worth visiting.
